Hello all, remember me? It has been a while! After talking to my Dad last night I realized I need to update this!!!
This week has been CRAZY!!! I have worked every night, missing church on Wed. for the Valentine crowd. Plus I started my volunteer work at the free clinic here in town. Yesterday was the worst day all week. After being beat up at work on Wed, I was up by 6 , off to the clinic from 8-1, class from 1-3, and work from 5-10:30. Then home to sleep to be up to get the girls off to school because Gerrick is out of town. Now I am waiting to go to class. I was supposed to be there at 9, but I am going to a different section because of taking the girls to school.
I really enjoyed my work at the clinic yesterday. I am hoping this will become a permanent volunteer position!!! I didn't work with patients yesterday, but I enjoyed the work. I was on the phone with pharmaceutical companies getting prescriptions for no/low-income patients. Then I filed some charts and called patients who had prescriptions to pick-up. I did other little duties to fill the time. The lady said she thought just the drug company calls would take me all day, but I wrapped it up in 2.5 hours. They fill over 250,000 pills a month!!!!! Other large clinics with a prescription program do about that in a year!!!!! It is amazing the work they do there. The need is so great in this area, and really everywhere!
The kids are doing well. Keghan is now 8! She is such a lady! In school she is one perfect spelling test away from a reward! Shaelynn has been doing well also. On Keghan's birthday Gerrick heard them having a conversation. Shae was saying that she wanted to get her sister a gift, but had no way of going to the store. Keghan said it was fine, and she knew she loved her. Then Shae lit up as she said, "I know, I will do all your chores." So, that is just what she did!!! What great sisters.
Everyone else is doing well. The boys are having fun with their trains and cars in the basement. Reagan is learning new words, and ways to drive me crazy, daily!!! Her newest is to stick things in the toilet. That's fun!
