SCHOOL'S IN!

Hello all. I had a lengthy post written up the other day, and then I lost it....so I quit! But, I think I am ready to risk loosing another 20 minutes of my day.

The kids are back to school...insert the Hallelujah chorus here..... Braydon has adjusted quickly to school. He is up on time and hasn't missed the bus once. When asked how his first day was he responded, "We didn't even learn math or science or anything. All we did was color a picture, I could have done that at HOME!!!" That's my son, never stimulated enough!!! He has told me since then that he HAS learned things, just can't remember what! He has two new best friends and they have a pact to always play transformers together on the playground. I just pray that these boys will actually follow with to Erskine. It is so frustrating to watch the kids make such great easy friends in kindergarten only to see them separated for first grade on. Anyway...the girls are a different story. Luckily I work late, so I get to sleep in and just observe most mornings! The girls give their dad such sass when it is time to get up. I think they need the cold water treatment! They are never out the door on time, and haven't shown much excitement at being back in school. Shae likes her teacher, and likes her classmates, but beyond that would rather be at home!!! Keghan is the same, likes it well enough, but would rather be anywhere else. I hope and pray that they will miraculously learn to love school one day soon!!!!!
The babies and I are enjoying our time alone. They both LOVE shopping, and so do I!!! We have been to the mall a little more than dad would like, but he'll be fine!!! We play outside as much as possible in the heat and watch old classics for rest time that the older kids refuse to watch. Yesterday was E.T., and it was great!!!
I think I have finally decided to apply to Iowa for the BSN program and continue to debate the PA and Nurse Practitioner and masters in nursing follow ups. I think I will have plenty of time to decide once enrolled. Iowa seems to be my closest, cheapest, and best choice right now. So, wish me luck in getting all the right papers filled out so I could possibly be back in school next semester!!! I like being home, but need to be done with school as well.
On a really dumb note, I was employee of the month again. I just laugh, but Gerrick was pretty impressed. La Dee Da!
We did celebrate Reagan's 2nd birthday last week. I can't believe the "baby" is 2!! I am planning a party for family in mid September, that way we can do Shaelynn's as well and save you all a trip!
Time to get these kids fed and off to the mall....those clothes won't but themselves!!
