Tired, but here's some pics

Well, we have had a busy week and a half. We kept Joe and Abby's kids for a week while they went to North Carolina to check out a possible new home. They were great, and we had a lot of fun. Then, Friday after they left Gerrick and I had a lobster and steak dinner! He really did well cooking it. The kids liked playing with the lobsters.....we have video, but I won't get that on tonight.........I'm exhausted!

Sunday was a very tough day. I spent most of the night worrying and praying for my family in the area of the tornado. I was happy to know that everyone was safe, but the thought of loosing family pictures (which my sister-in-law has kept so many wonderful albums) and family items was keeping me up! Then as I saw the pictures start coming in, I lost it! All those people with nothing.....needless to say, the kids and I was saying a lot of "thank-you" prayers that night. We are so blessed to still have our family safe and their homes still standing.

Monday we drove to and from Chicago to see the cubs beat the Dodgers. The kids were GREAT!!!! They had been up taking cover in the basement from the tornadoes for a while the night before, and didn't sleep much on the way there, but they sat the whole game well!!! I even received several compliments on their behavior from the other fans!!! We had made them cool shirts the night before, and several people stopped to take their pictures!!! We were very proud!
Reagan LOVED Fukudome!! He is her favorite player, and she LOVES screaming his name!!!

On the way home we stopped to see the Reagan house in Dixon. It was neat to get Reagan's pic by the statue of the man she was named after!! When the kids told her that Reagan was dead, she got upset and yelled that she was still alive!! She is so cute!
