Here I am at 4 a.m. unable to sleep. I spend a lot of the early morning hours awake in my bed staring at the ceiling listening to Gerrick snore. Sometimes I get up and walk around, start a load of laundry, or watch T.V. I would really like to find a way to sleep through the night!
I have had some major pain on my knees due to crappy running shoes. Today I took some Aleve. I looked all over the internet to see if it is safe for nursing moms. I can't find anything. All I find is that it is not safe during pregnancy. Anyway, I will stick to acetametaphin from now on, but Aleve seems to work so much better. Does anyone know the affects on the milk.
In my research for Aleve, I found they have a new test for alcohol in the milk. For $20 you get 6 tests. I usually just wait until the next day anyway. The lactation consultant at the hospital said one or two beers was fine, but to wait until the next day if you have had more. The doctors told me I would not be able to nurse after my surgery because of the morphine, but the lactation experts had the baby on the boob before I remembered my name!!! It is amazing what the body filters out for the babe!
I really want to sleep, but I don't feel that will happen. So, I am going to go put a load of laundry in so my work clothes are ready for tonight. I HATE working Saturdays!

Losers
We are home, and we are losers. Gerrick was one of the 20 finalists for the trip, but was quickly eliminated. But, we did get a night out! I was very surprised that Cocktails and Company was not more prepared. They had very few servers and the food was horrible. I think I would have over-staffed in the hopes of return business, but I will never go back after the service we received!!!!!
The kids had a great time with Jen. They ate popcorn and watched T.V. We were gone for a total of 2.5 hours. That seemed like a long time to me.
I am off to end the night with Gerrick. He is mad at me because I yelled at him for never disciplining the children. He is the biggest softy, but won't admit it! I am tired of being the one who yells at the kids and makes them go to bed!
Have a great Father's Day weekend. I just want to say that I have 3 brothers that are some of the greatest fathers in the world. So, Joe, Adam and Bryce, have a wonderful Sunday, and God bless!

Thursday Night
Well, another late night. I had a good night at work. I had a random large party that kept growing. They were kind of annoying me because they were just standing around in the dining room. We do have a bar, but apparently they wanted to hang in the middle of everyone's meal!
I ran 1 1/2 miles after work. Then, I did Palates (can't spell) with Melanie. Well, I tried. Something about giving birth to 5 children that kills all abdominal muscles. She did say that I did better than her other friend that is athletic! I am not sure if that is good, but it impressed me!
Keghan finished her punishment tonight. She kept saying how fun it was all day, then at 3 her tune changed! I think it was cleaning the cupboards out that turned her attitude! I literally ran out of things to have her do! Without using chemicals there isn't much to do. I wanted to get the ceiling fans dusted, it has been a few weeks, but they are too high. I wanted the van cleaned out, but it was raining. But the cupboards were perfect. They are low enough, and NEEDED it! She found an onion that was sprouting! 
Well, tomorrow is Gerrick and mines date! I am even going to shave my legs and buy a skirt. The running has improved my view of my legs and I am comfortable showing them! My lovely cousin Jen is coming to watch the kids. They really love her. Usually she has the kids clean their room, but Keghan did that today!!! They are excited to have her over. We will get them a movie and some popcorn. It is nice to give them a treat when we are gone. That way they don't think it is an everyday thing and aren't as sad when we leave! Not that we leave often. I think this will be the first time we have gotten a sitter to go out since it was just Keghan. Usually we get a sitter when Gerrick will get home after I have to be to work!!! We are pretty excited!

Fun with T-Shirt Transfers!
HELLO!!! Hope everyone is well. Last night was great! We went to the Olive Garden for dinner and the kids had a good time. Keghan had a little problem going to bed and for that she is doing chores ALL day! It is like a day off! She cleaned the boys' room, has done 2 loads of laundry, made lunch, fed Reagan, and cleaned the dishes after lunch! I have really stuck to her punishment. It is actually harder to make sure she does the work than just to do it myself, but I need her to learn not to disrespect me! I am sure this won't be the last time she tests her boundaries, but maybe she will learn that I have more to do than sit by her side and make sure she goes to sleep!!
Gerrick and I are officially losers! We had time alone together and decided to create T-shirts with our children's pictures! We really need help! We did also stay up to watch Leno last night. Ann Coulter was on, she is my hero! I know there are some things in her book being taken out of context in the news, but her points are pretty valid! That was our night, do you think we have officially turned into old people? We had to stay up to watch Leno! 
Tonight, finally, I am running again. I admit it is much easier with a partner. The girl I run with, though, runs fast and at least 1 1/2 miles. I am not that gifted yet. She has been running for 4 months, I have been running for one week! I have found that I feel better when I get off my butt and run, but finding the time is not that easy. When Gerrick is home I can go between 6 ad 7:30 a.m. Those of you that have lived with me know that I don't do well in the morning. The first word out of my mouth is still, "NO!!!" Gerrick has learned to just ignore me. So, when I ask him to make sure I get up that means her tells me once and lets me go back to sleep. I don't blame him, I am bad in the morning! So, I haven't ran since Sunday, and I am feeling it.
Gerrick and I are going to Cocktails and Company on Friday for some contest he is in. I think we have a one in 100 chance of winning a trip. We will, of course, sell it and pay off some bills! The prize for me is just spending time with Gerrick without the kids!!! Granted, it will be at a busy bar, but at least it is kid-free!!!
Time to get Keghan started on her next task, I can hear her talking to the kids!!!

YIPEE!
YIPEE!!! Gerrick is home for the last time! He has successfully completed his training for Sysco Food Co. He has been excused from the next week of training. YEAH!!!
We had a pretty boring day because of the rain. I know we need it, and I welcome it for the garden and farmers, but I hate staying inside! The kids are driving me crazy! Last night I could have thrown Keghan through a window. She thinks she runs the house and I am only here for fancial purposes. At bed time she kept getting out of bed and telling me every time someone said a word. This became very annoying because Dax and Shaelynn talk themselves to sleep.
Again last night Braydon peed the bed. I am at a loss for what to do. I put him in a diaper tonight. He pees the bed about once a week, and when he does he doesn't tell me and gets in bed with me and does it again. This morning was the worst! I rolled right into it. He had since moved to the couch to try for number three! I hope I am not scaring him for life with the diaper, but I can't take rolling into pee again!
Time to spend some time with Gerrick before I the weekend. I am apparently working Saturday. That is what happens when I let Gerrick talk to my boss!

Lazy Days
It really feels like I do nothing when Gerrick is gone. This is his last week out of town and I have done nothing. Yesterday I took the kids shopping for what they wanted to eat this week. We wanted to go to the park afterward, but Reagan was ready for her nap. Today I hope to take them to the pool after lunch. My "tan" is starting to fade! We were supposed to go to the Res again today, but I can't stand putting sun block on in the sand. It is like exfoliating 5 kids and myself!
The one thing that I miss the most when Gerrick is gone (besides having the garbage taken out) is running. I really feel lazy when I don't run now. I think I am going to try to take the kids to the park at Keghan's school and run the track while they play. They will probably try to follow me, but that's fine too!
Here are some pictures of the kids painting. They love art projects and they are the one things that Reagan's naps don't interrupt. We try to do at least one a week.

Fun with the Family
We were at that Family Picnic for my work tonight. Before we left we decided that I would have a few beers and Gerrick would drive. So, I have had a few beers. We had so much fun!!! By the time we got there they were packing all the stuff up and leaving. So, we had our own beer and our own fun! My friends Melanie, Phil and Brian stayed around and played with us and the kids. We had a blast! I think Dax might have hurt his leg, but is hard to tell. He walks funny, but says there is no pain when I manipulate his ankle and knee. Without insurance it is hard to decide whether to go or not. I have been in the ER too many times for fake injuries!!!!!

Sunday Morning
Good morning. I am doing a Sunday morning post because we over slept and will not make it to church! That is one thing that sucks about a big family. Even 20 minutes lost out of the morning, and there is no way! The girls alone take 1 hour to get ready some mornings. Our schedule is pretty much set in stone and with no time to spare! With the weather the way it is makes it too easy to sleep in.
On Thursday I went through the girl's room and finally took all their winter clothes to the basement. I thought I was safe to take all the jeans and just leave sweats for night. Well, today we have to go to a family picnic for my work, and it is freezing! I wonder why I even bother! It is just that they have so much clothes! They have more clothes in their rooms right now than I had my entire childhood combined! And yet, they never have any thing to where!
Today, like I said, we are heading out to my family picnic for work. We were supposed to have a slip-n-slide and things, but it is COLD! Oh, well. It will hopefully still be fun. I actually like a few of the people I work with. Some of them are really stupid. I don't understand how someone can be a bad waitress. I used to think I was really gifted at waitressing. Now I know anyone can do it. It just takes caring to do it well, but just to do it is easy. I work with people who cannot even do it badly!
I received my Dean's List Announcement yesterday. I am hoping to continue to do well when I actually start my nursing classes, but that remains to be seen! The math class I had to take last semester started with the same stuff Keghan was learning in first grade. I felt smart! I did take a Biology class. I really liked it. The teacher was an air-brain, but I still liked the class. I had all As except for one class last semester. I received a B+ in Human Relations. Apparently we were supposed to buy a book and read it. Who knows!
Well, off for a jog. I have been running 3/4-1 1/2 miles a day. I am hoping to be down to 145 by the end of summer. Just in time to gain it all back during the holidays!
