So, I guess I shouldn't talk about how beautiful it is out....I seemed to have jinxed it last time.
Last weekend was miserable weather-wise, but great fun for us just the same. We got to have Jonah and Lauren come spend the weekend with us!! I was supposed to meet Joe late in the afternoon on Friday, but as things came up it was just easier for me to go to the big CF. When we met Joe in Cedar Falls I handed off Braydon to Grandma and Grandpa Hoffman for the night. He got to have his special birthday time with them. By the time we got home it was late, but Gerrick had supper ready and waiting, so we were happy! The kids couldn't believe how big Jonah had gotten! Lauren and Reagan instantly renewed their friendship/rivalry. It was hard for Reagan to understand sharing when they were HER toys! She gets it at daycare, church, and with OTHERS toys, but these were HERS!!!! She soon figured out it wasn't that bad, and the rest of the weekend was smooth!
Mom and Tom brought Braydon (and his new Bionical army) home Saturday night. They took us all (yes, 7 children and 4 adults) out to dinner. The kids were a little tired, but behaved very well!!! I don't think I actually finished a thought or sentence while trying to talk to Mom, but I think she either understood, or at the least spared me the humility of pointing out my scattered brain!!! It seemed like every time I went to talk a child was asking me something, telling me something, fighting about something, or needing help with something......plus, I was sleep deprived. All in all, the weekend made us want more kids!
