Well, once again my plans are pooped on! Literally! Reagan is sick. She started with diarrhea and vomiting, now she has a high fever. So, we are not going to C.F. to meet Gerrick's mom. He has left work early to take them in for me. It wasn't so much her being sick as she would have just slept in the car, but it was the fact that I had 4 hours of sleep and wouldn't be the safest driver on the road!!! So, I slept in and Gerrick took the girlies.
Now I am getting ready to clean the house. We have dinner reservations at Osaka Japanese Steak House and Sushi Bar for tomorrow and a sitter coming to watch the boys and Reagan. So, I have to actually dust again and clean the kids room. I usually don't clean their rooms, but I think it will go faster if I just do it myself!!! The girls have a clean room....amazingly enough! I am looking forward to a night away, but I know it will be short! We have to be home by 10:30. Oh well, 3 hours is 3 hours, right?

Fun in the Sun
Today was great. The kids and I went to the pool after rest time and had a good time. It was just cool enough to keep the paying people away. Just us pass folks and a little sun. There was a gal there from my church and it was nice to chat with her. Then I kinda lost track of Dax and Keghan had to pull him out of the water. I wasn't there, so I don't know what happened, but I think he was just doing his surface dives and it freaked her out. It freaked me out at first as well. He stays under water for a long time and his arms and legs go everywhere in an attempt to swim. It looks like he is drowning, but it is just him being a nerd. At any rate, I lost track of him and felt bad!
After the pool we went home and cleaned up. We quickly got ready and headed out to the Farmer's Market. We hadn't been all year and I really wanted to go. It is only open for 2 hours so we had to boogie! I bought some pumpkin and banana bread, zucchini, cucumbers, onions, tomatoes, and some blackberries. The kids also got some cookies to eat on the way home. They ate the blackberries on ice cream for dessert tonight. They LOVED it!
Tonight was another night from HELL when it came to bed time. I have no idea how to get the girls to bed. I have tried staggering their bed times, but I would have to put one to bed at 7 for the other one to be able to go in at 8!! Not that I am opposed to having them out at 7 instead of 8, but it just doesn't seem doable. I am real tired of fighting and fighting at bed time. I have tried ignoring them, but then they stay up until 10 and I can't get the baby to sleep. Or, they fight and bring it out to me anyway. MOM---how did you get Sarah and me to shut-up and go to sleep? I remember talking in bed, but I would never had gotten up and started playing toys or creating a water play area in the bathroom! Is is just a fear thing? I thought I was scary, but maybe not scary enough! Anyway, they are asleep now, I think! Reagan is still up, but I will put her down soon. I quit nursing her during the day. Now I just nurse her at night. She likes it, and she sleeps well. Although, last night she slept with me until 5 a.m. She is also done with bottles. I finally found a sippy cup she would take, so no more bottles. She is fine and doesn't even seem to miss them.
Tomorrow I have to head back to work. I had a long talk with my boss yesterday and I think that Fridays will be better from now on. I told him how and why things suck and told him what to do to fix it. He was really in the dark that everyone was upset, apparently the supervisor he had on wasn't telling him anything. So, maybe my job won't completely suck now!!!

P.S. I HAD SOME GREAT PICTURES TO PUT ON, BUT THE SITE WILL NOT LOAD THEM---AGAIN!!! SO, I WILL TRY TOMORROW!

Tuesday and still HOT
We are still dealing with a heat wave. Hopefully it will rain tomorrow and we will be relatively cool. I am sick to death of the heat. I want to be OUTSIDE!!
Anyway. Last night we ended up staying home from the pool. The kids were too tired, and I wasn't ready to deal with a troop of crab-heads! Dax was pretty much falling asleep at the table and the girls were fighting endlessly! After dinner the kids went to bed! We watched Capote. It was really good! Gerrick wanted to watch some chick flick. What is up with that? I finally talked him into Capote, and I think he was glad I did! We watched War of the Worlds the night before. What a crapper! The movie is GREAT until the end. The bacteria saves us??!!?? What an nonclimactic ending! I was expecting the humans to rise up and save the world, instead they hide underground until the bacteria take care of the invaders for them. WIMPS!!
Well, I am going to finally get these kids in the bath. I have to figure out SOMETHING to do with them today. It is way to hot to bake, so that's out. Maybe we will go to the pool, but Gerrick wants to go tonight so I hate to tire them out too much!!

HOT, HOT, HOT!!!
Just got back from Wal Mart. It is HOT!!! It is really not fit for man, nor beast! I see people out with their kids in a stroller and going to the park and I think, "What is wrong with these people?" It is too hot to let kids run around in a park. I even believe it is too hot for the pool. We are going tonight, but not in the heat of the day. There was even a man running. RUNNING??? It is 112 heat index, why would you run? I am all for fitness, but come on!!! And this man was not in anyway in need of the exercise! He was fit and still crazy enough to be out running in 112+ degrees! NO THANK YOU! I will keep my overweight, under exercised butt in the house until I can stand outside without sweating in the
shade!!!
Monday.....really
Wow, this weekend flew by. All the driving and travel really sucks the time away. Friday I took Jordan home to his family. Sarah was happy to see him. Of course I had to eat some Z's while I was there!!! I left Waterloo at 3, and had to leave my house for work by 4:20. It was a trek, believe me. Then I had another horrible Friday at work. I am ready to find something different. Those who know me know I usually don't quit a job. I have only had 3 "real" jobs my entire adult life and a few that I worked while still working the main 3. But this job is becoming hard to like.
Then Saturday morning I headed back to C.F. to go to Jenny's shower. It was nice. We pretty much just heard about the Pampered Chef stuff. Mom, Abby and I went together on a baking pan. They are pretty nice! Then I went shopping with Abby. I have been looking for a nice skirt, and finally found one! Abby got some kicking shades! They sparkle! Then it was back to Z's for more good cooking! I also had to return the coolers that Dad sent home with me the day before filled with frozen meat. Then around 8 I figured it was time to head back home. I thought it would be safe and the kids would be asleep. Oh, how I was wrong!!! Half were still up and out of control. So, at 11, when everyone was asleep, Gerrick and I finally went to bed. We slept right through Sunday school and church. BAD!! I really don't like to miss church and it seems we have done it a lot this summer. When school starts again we will be on a better schedule. No more late nights!!!!!
We ended up in the pool all afternoon on Sunday. There was really no where else to be! It was busy, but still fun. We stayed until 5 and them grilled some dinner. The kids went to bed pretty easy and we went soon after. I have been so tired lately!!
Today I am going to get my house clean...again. I need to go to Wal Mart and catch up on all the domestic stuff I have been ignoring. Then, off to the pool!!! It is open until 10 tonight, and I might just stay that long. I am sure the kids won't be too upset about that!
I am coming to C.F. again this weekend. Gerrick's Mom is taking the girls for the weekend. We talked about finding some one, or people, to take the rest of the crew and enjoying a weekend alone. It is a long shot, but we are going to try!!!
