Great two Days

What a great few days. Yesterday we went to the Go Fish concert. It was very hot, and there were TONS of people were there. I think they said that there were 200 last year, and there had to be at least 3 times that this year. We were so far back to begin with that I couldn't hear a thing. So we moved closer and the kids loved it. They were playing on the park equipment and sitting on top singing. They really put on a great show for the kids. There was also a carnival there. We were able to get that funnel cake we wanted last weekend. I bought 20 ride tickets thinking that the kids could each do 5. Then I noticed that the rides were 3 tickets at least. So they rode 2 rides, and that was enough. The first one they went on was a fly around airplane ride. It was wooden, old and had no seat belts. It was a little scary. The next one was an old wooden train. Dax was glad to be on a "choo choo", but I was worried it would fall apart. Then I spent $7 for the kids to throw a dart at some balloons. They each won a little fish. So, we quit the rides, gave away the rest of our tickets, and headed to the concert area. I ran into the lady that delivered Dax. She went to the church we attended there. She was surprised to see how big he was. It was nice to see her. We also ran into a lot of people from our church as well. It was a fun time!!!
Today after church was the annual church picnic. What a time! They roasted a hog and had soft serve for dessert. The kids did a water balloon toss and other relay games. There was also horseshoes and volleyball. I enjoyed the chance to chat with the ladies from my Wednesday night bible study. We don't meet in the summer, and I have missed it. They are really a blessing. It is like having family around again!
After the picnic the girls and I went to Wal-Mart to stock up for the week. It is really amazing how much food we eat! The picture above shows what the boys did while we were gone!! I also caved and bought the canopy for their beds. Tuesday their Grandma and Grandpa and Uncle Sean and Aunt Jodi are coming, and I want it looking good. I also want to buy a new shower curtain. As those of you who have been here know, mine is molding. I found out a $3 liner would have prevented that, but we are not that smart!! The problem with buying a new one is that Wal-Mart no longer carries ours, and the colors have to match the wallpaper and the wall color. So, I will have to hunt online, and that won't happen before Tuesday. So, Sean, Jodi, if you are reading, my shower curtain is gross, but I do clean my bathroom, almost daily in fact!
One bad thing from the last few days is the my knees are acting up again. I felt great for two days, then I worked Thursday and Friday with no pain. After work on Friday, as I said earlier, I ran. I felt fine Saturday. Today I woke up early and went for another run. I had a great time. I did my normal 1 1/2 miles and made it home in good time. Then, I sat down on the floor. I couldn't get up. I had to have the kids get me a water and Gerrick got my pills. I threw myself on to the couch, which hurt a lot. I sat and ate my breakfast with ice on my knees and was able to go to church. By the time we were at the picnic my knees felt much better. I haven't even taken any more pain pills, and they are fine. I think I am crazy, but maybe I will see a Doc. I just want to run and not have pain.
Time to get the kids washed for bed. They are gross from the picnic and playing in the backyard. Have a great night!

So what have we been telling you about those knees? You probably cannot take that high inpact running, slow up and save them. You were only given two knees and it's best you take care of them. They will wear out on you , ask me, I know! Of course, I think I have a few years on you!!!!
